Common App

https://apply.commonapp.org/createaccount

In 2010, over 2,000,000 applications were submitted to 415 colleges and universities through the Common Application. By completing the application just once, a student can submit it to as many of the member colleges as they’d like, with little extra work. Application fees to Common App schools vary widely from FREE to $100 per school. Students can use https://www.commonapp.org/search-colleges feature to narrow their selection of colleges to specific characteristics they desire in a school, such as majors, athletics, and distance from home. 88 CommonApp schools have Cycling teams. Want to attend an All-Girls College? There are 23 Women’s Colleges that are Common App users. (There are three All-Guys colleges on CommonApp.)

If you have already decided to apply to a college in California, the Common Application may be submitted to 26 colleges and universities in-state, including CalTech, The Claremont Colleges, Pepperdine, Stanford, and the University of La Verne.

Thinking of going Ivy League? All eight Ivy League schools (Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton, and Yale) accept the CommonApp, most also require a supplement set of questions be answered through the CommonApp.

Juniors can begin working on their Common Application beginning July 1st (just before the start of the Senior year). There are now 463 colleges and universities on the CommonApp.

Curious how many students get accepted compared to the number that apply? See the list below, provided by www.questbridge.org:
