El Cerrito Middle School Holds YEMP Career Fair!
CORONA - On May 1st, El Cerrito Middle School hosted their third annual Youth Education Motivational Program (YEMP) Career Fair, kicking off the month with this exciting event for students. The fair provided students the opportunity to explore over 20 career booths, each offering a unique glimpse into diverse career paths. At this event, students were able to spark their curiosity, ask questions, and gather valuable information from professionals in the field.
The Career Fair offered students a glimpse into various professions, ranging from medicine to the dynamics of the Naval Sea Systems Command, to other fields such as dentistry, law enforcement, firefighting, and more!
Interactive booths filled the fair, offering hands-on activities and demonstrations for students. A highlight of the event was the firefighter booth, where field experts shared their experiences and offered interactive activities, challenging students to put on all the gear used in emergency services.
Additionally, Career Technical Education Pathways (CTE) were among some of the booths on display at the fair, showcasing the diverse array of opportunities available to students in the District including residential construction, agriculture, culinary arts, and several others.
The YEMP Career Fair left students feeling empowered and curious about the opportunities and possibilities that lie ahead, inspiring them to pursue their passions with confidence and enthusiasm!
